T-Shirt Care Instructions
T-Shirt Care Instructions
To ensure your T-shirt stays in great condition and the print remains vibrant for years to come, follow these simple yet effective care instructions:
Washing Tips
Turn Your T-Shirt Inside-Out
Always wash your T-shirt inside-out to protect the printed design from friction and abrasion during the wash cycle.
Use Cold or Lukewarm Water
Wash your T-shirt in cold or lukewarm water (30°C / 86°F max). Hot water can weaken the fibers and fade the print over time.
Use a Gentle Detergent
Opt for a mild, color-safe detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the fabric and the print.
Wash Similar Colors Together
Separate dark and light garments to prevent color transfer and fading.
Drying Tips
Air-Dry for Best Results
Hang your T-shirt on a clothesline or drying rack to air-dry. This method helps preserve the fabric and print while reducing energy use.
Tumble Dry on Low Heat (If Needed)
If air-drying isn’t an option, use a tumble dryer on the lowest heat setting. Remove the T-shirt while it’s still slightly damp to prevent shrinkage.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Prolonged exposure to sunlight while drying can cause colors to fade, so dry your T-shirts in the shade whenever possible.
Ironing Tips
Turn Inside-Out Before Ironing
If your T-shirt is wrinkled, turn it inside-out to protect the print.
Use a Low Heat Setting
Set your iron to the lowest heat suitable for the fabric (usually "cotton" for 100% cotton or "synthetic" for blends).
Avoid Ironing Over the Print
Do not apply direct heat to the printed design, as this can melt or damage the ink. Use a pressing cloth for extra protection if ironing near the print is unavoidable.
Storage Tips
Fold, Don’t Hang
Fold your T-shirts neatly to avoid stretching the neckline or shoulder seams.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep your T-shirts in a well-ventilated, dry area. Avoid damp environments to prevent mold or mildew.
Additional Tips
Spot Cleaning
For small stains, gently dab the affected area with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing, as it can damage the print.
Wash New T-Shirts Before Wearing
New T-shirts can sometimes have a pre-treatment residue from the printing process. A quick wash removes this and ensures the fabric feels its best.
Avoid Overloading the Washer
Give your T-shirts space to move freely in the washing machine to prevent excess wear and tear.
